There might be dirt in the backing.  They went over it too many times and
got it too wet.  When it dries, dirt wicks up from the backing.  That's why
the water is dirty . This is covered by our 30 day guarantee.  I don't
remember smelling anything when I cleaned it.

I don't have anything until Thursday.  3 to 4 arrival window.  We could get
a cancellation before then.
